Privacy Policy – Stories Downloader

Last updated: 16 October 2026

This privacy policy applies to the Android app Stories Downloader (package com.job.whatsappstories, "the app"), published on Google Play by Job Getabu ("we", "us"). The app lets you view statuses you have already watched in your chat app, save them to your gallery and share them. This policy explains what data the app accesses, collects, uses and shares, who it is shared with, how it is protected, and how long it is kept.

1. Data that stays on your device

The app does not access your contacts, messages, camera, microphone, precise location, or all files on your phone.

2. Data collected and shared

The app uses the following Google services. They collect data automatically and process it under their own terms.

This data is shared only with Google LLC and, for ads, with Google's ad partners as described in Google's policies. We do not sell your personal data. See Google Privacy Policy, How Google uses information from apps that use its services, Privacy and Security in Firebase and AdMob and user data.

3. Ads and your choices

Where the law requires it (for example, in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent before showing ads, and personalised ads are shown only if you agree. You can change your choice at any time from Ad choices in the app's menu. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google settings. If you buy "Remove ads", the app stops loading ads entirely.

4. Permissions

5. How data is protected

All data sent by the app to Google is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. It is stored on Google's servers, which use industry-standard security, and access to our Firebase and AdMob dashboards is limited to the developer's account protected by two-step verification. Analytics and crash data are not linked to your name, email or phone number.

6. Data retention and deletion

To ask us to delete analytics or crash data linked to your app installation, email us at the address below. We will reply within 30 days.

7. Other people's content

Statuses belong to the people who posted them. Save and share them only with their permission.

8. Children

The app isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
